Fees & Policies

Payment is due at the time of service. I do not currently accept insurance but if you have concerns about pricing, please ask about my sliding scale.

Appointments that are canceled less than 24 business hours (8am-5pm M-Th) are subject to a charge for the full price of the appointment.

One of the most important parts of being in counseling is feeling a good connection with the counselor. 15-minute consultations are available upon request to ensure a good fit.

You may request a good faith estimate of our charges prior to scheduling or during treatment with Self-Rising.

The No Surprises Act is a federal law that provides you with the right to a good faith estimate of the cost of counseling services. This law was created to prevent surprise and exorbitant billing. I provide you with the actual cost of my services per session in a written informed consent form. This fee structure is available to you before we start our work together and before any billing; your signature is required before our services start. In most cases, it is impossible to estimate how many total sessions you will need to complete treatment–depending on your goals, progress, context, and other extenuating factors. You are free to discontinue services at any time, or the services may otherwise be terminated by requirements listed in the informed consent form. Information on disputes is available upon request. Any changes to my fees require me to send a change in the informed consent, which you must agree to and sign before they go into effect. Otherwise, the fees will remain in effect for 12 months.
